PRIOR TO YOUR DEPARTURE
- Check if your passport is valid for more than 6 months from your travel dates.
- Inform your bank of your travel destinations to avoid issues with your cards.

FLIGHT
- Book your roundtrip flight to Haneda Airport (HND) in Tokyo for arrival.
- Your return flight should depart from Kansai International Airport (KIX) in Osaka.
- Book your flights as early as possible to save money.
VISA
- U.S. citizens do not require a visa for stays of 90 days or less in Japan.
- Check requirements if you’re traveling on a non-U.S. passport.
GENERAL INFO
- Rooms are double occupancy with two beds (unless single occupancy is selected). If you don't already have a roommate, you will be paired with one.
- Be prepared for a mix of modern and traditional accommodations, including potentially smaller rooms compared to Western standards.
- All activities and meals are planned as a group. If you opt out of an activity or group meal, you will be responsible for any additional expenses.
- Japan’s transportation system involves a lot of walking, so comfortable shoes are essential.
FOOD / DRINKS
- Expect a variety of traditional Japanese cuisine, including sushi, ramen, tempura, and more.
- Meals are not included every day, giving you the freedom to explore local dining options during non-group meal times.
- Japan has great vegetarian and halal options, but please notify us in advance of any dietary restrictions.
- Alcoholic beverages are not included in the package.
WARNING - PHYSICAL ACTIVITIES
- This trip involves extensive walking, including stairs and uneven surfaces at historical sites.
- Please ensure you are physically able to participate in these activities.
MONEY / CURRENCY
- Japan’s currency is the Japanese Yen (JPY). Currently, $1 USD ~ 157 JPY (subject to change).
- Many places accept credit cards, but it’s recommended to carry cash for smaller purchases, tips, and souvenir shopping.
- You can exchange your USD for JPY at the airport or withdraw cash from ATMs upon arrival.
