Aprille is turning 50, and we are not doing small. We are flying out of the cold and landing somewhere the water is bright blue, the sun is warm on your skin, and every day comes with its own party. This is a private trip, just for Aprille's people. Five days and five nights on one of the most beautiful islands in Belize, and we filled it with theme days, a boat takeover, a day at Secret Beach, glam dinners, a pro photographer to capture all of it, and a birthday night you will be telling people about for years.
Close your eyes and picture it. A whole crew of you out on the water in matching yellow, music up, drinks cold, the island in the background and not a worry in sight. A night where everybody pulls up in red to toast the woman of the hour. Slow mornings with your toes in the sand, a beach club day made for dancing and flicks, and one unforgettable birthday party under a sky full of stars. Bring the family, bring the kids, bring every outfit you have been saving. This is the kind of trip people brag about being on, and you have a spot if you want it.

FLIGHTS (MUST READ)
Book your round trip flights into Philip S. W. Goldson International Airport in Belize City. The airport code is BZE.
Here is the good news, broken down by where you are flying from:
Los Angeles (LAX): You can fly straight there with no stops. American, United, Alaska, and Delta all run nonstop flights from LAX to Belize City. This is the smoothest ride of anybody, so LA folks are sitting pretty.
Oakland and the Bay Area (OAK or SFO): San Francisco (SFO) has a nonstop flight to Belize City on United, so if you can get yourself to SFO, you can fly direct. Flying out of Oakland (OAK)? You will make one quick connection, usually through Houston, Dallas, or Los Angeles.
Portland (PDX): Portland does not have a nonstop yet, so you will make one connection. The easiest routes go through Seattle (Alaska flies nonstop from Seattle to Belize), Los Angeles, San Francisco, Houston, or Dallas. Plan for a little extra travel time and you will be just fine.
Flying in from another city? Belize City has nonstop flights from a good number of US cities, so check these first: Atlanta (Delta), Baltimore (Southwest), Charlotte (American), Chicago O'Hare (United), Dallas-Fort Worth (American), Denver (Southwest and Frontier), Fort Lauderdale (Southwest), Houston (United and Southwest), Miami (American), Minneapolis (Delta and Sun Country), Newark (United), New York JFK (JetBlue), Orlando (Frontier), San Francisco (United), and Seattle (Alaska). Some of these only run during the busy winter and spring travel season, so book early.

WEATHER & WHAT TO PACK
Late April in Belize is warm, sunny, and beautiful. It is the end of the dry season, so expect hot days in the mid 80s, calm water, and very little rain. Pack light. Think swimsuits, cover ups, breezy clothes, sandals, a hat, and sunglasses. Bring your theme day outfits, a bright yellow swimsuit for the boat party and your best all-red look for the birthday celebration, plus a cute look for the night out. Toss in a refillable water bottle and any motion sickness pills if boats make you queasy, since we have a full day on the water.
REEF SAFE SUNSCREEN
Belize protects its reef, and so do we. The marine spots we visit only allow reef safe sunscreen, which is the biodegradable kind. Please grab some before the trip or buy it on the island. It keeps the reef healthy and keeps you from burning, because the sun is strong out on the water.
FOOD & DRINKS
Get ready for fresh seafood, rice and beans, ceviche, rum punch, and ice cold Belikin beer. Breakfast is included every day, plus our welcome dinner and Aprille's Scarlet Red birthday celebration dinner. On your own time, San Pedro has plenty of great restaurants and bars within walking distance. Drinks are not included except where noted, like the open bar on the boat day and the toasts at our group dinners, so bring some spending money for drinks and nights out.
KIDS & ALL AGES
This is a family trip. We have folks coming from their 20s all the way up, plus a few little ones, and there is something for everybody. The grown folks can enjoy the drinks and the parties, and the days are easy enough for the whole family to have a great time together.
MONEY
Belize uses the Belize Dollar, and it is always two Belize Dollars to one US Dollar, so the math is simple. US Dollars are taken almost everywhere, so you do not need to exchange money first. Bring some cash for tips, taxis, beach bars, and small shops. Cards work at the resort and bigger restaurants, just set a travel notice with your bank and expect a small fee on card purchases.
TRAVEL INSURANCE
Travel insurance is highly recommended for this trip. It protects your money if something comes up before or during travel, and it gives everybody peace of mind. We will share a provider so you can get covered as soon as you book.
PAYMENT PLAN & ROOMING
You can pay in full or use the payment plan at checkout. Put down a deposit to lock your spot and spread the rest out before the trip. The sooner you book, the better, because rooms are held as a group block and space is limited.
The price is based on a shared room, meaning you room with one other person. Want your own room? A single upgrade is available. Coming solo and happy to share? Let us know and we will try to match you with a roommate.
