There are different ways to get rest, you can sleep or you can just stay still, listening to calming music. Whatever you do, be sure that you allow your body and mind to get their needed rest. It is necessary if you are to fully enjoy your travel experience.

EXERCISE

Exercising helps your body system work more efficiently, so keep your body active. It doesn’t have to be anything crazy, you can do exercises, like walking around the house or hotel. Or you can download a workout app and do some easy and quick workouts in your room before you head out for the day, while on vacation.

EAT HEALTHY & WISELY

We support you being adventurous with food during travel. You will be experiencing new cultures, so it is important that you are open to fully enjoy the experience, but at the same time, we encourage you to employ wisdom. Be wise in how and what you choose to eat. Food for thought.

DRINK WATER

Water is necessary for maintaining good health, we all know this. But sometimes knowledge doesn’t translate to actions, so we recommend that you set a reminder if you need help in remembering to drink water. A long flight leaves your body feeling dehydrated, so it is paramount to stay hydrated before your flight, during and after. Get the right daily amount of water into your system and your body will thank you.

STAY CLEAN

As a tourist, whether out visiting a local market in Bali, Indonesia, or out on a group tour to an elephant sanctuary in Phuket, Thailand, chances are you will want to grab a bite every now and then, so we advise that you remember to practice good hygiene. Wash your hands before eating, carry along a hand sanitizer to use, in case you are unable to wash your hands. Good hygiene is essential to maintaining good health.

TAKE CARE OF YOUR SKIN

Different skin types reacts differently in new environments. We highly recommend you doing some research on how the environment of your vacation may affect your skin, if mosquitos are prevalent there. Proper research will allow you to bring the necessary products that could help but might be difficult to acquire abroad. Do everything you need to do to take care of your skin.

BE CONNECTED

Staying healthy involves a lot of physical activities, but, you should also not forget the mental aspect. Get connected with those around you, whom you are sharing the travel experience with, and stay connected with your loved ones back home. All of that will help in maintaining your overall health during travel.
