Capturing Memories While on Vacation

If you go abroad and don't have anything to show for it, did it really happen? Long gone are the days that we go on a trip and only have the stories to tell.  Nowadays everybody wants to see how fabulous your life is - give the people what they want by capturing your memorable trip the right way and perfectly.

Tools Needed

  1. Capturing great images and videos of your fabulous getaway does not necessarily require expensive and bulky cameras, with the right tactics and strategies, you can still get great shots even on your smartphone. However, if you want ultra HD and superb quality. DSLR cameras will do the trick.

  2. A tripod is a must when taking great pictures of yourself without help, with a tripod you get to take full-body photos with background views.

  3. A selfie stick will elevate your selfies, by acting as an arm extension, you will be able to cover more of your background and surrounding area.

Natural Light

When planning your pictures, natural light will be your best friend! Your best pictures will be when it bright outside but not quite sunny yet ( Usually between 8-10 am) however if you need to take your pictures mid-day to avoid standing directly in the sun to avoid unnecessary shadows.

When natural light is no longer an option, let’s say you want to capture your dinner outfit and the sun has already gone down. Flash and additional lights in the room can be used to your advantage.

Photoshoot

Instagram/Social Media

Get ready to flood your Instagram account with your amazing vacation stories and photos. Since most people love to show out while on vacation, consider your trip a pass to do the same. If you enjoy capturing the moment as it's happening, try out using Instagram stories. You'll be able to showcase your day in life and all the exciting activities you get into while on your trip.

And the best part is that they are archived for viewing or re-sharing later.

Vlog / Blog About It

Have you seen our travel videos? Blogging is a great way to capture the memories during your trip. The best tip about vlogging, especially for beginners, is not to try to go viral or become famous. When you're traveling, make the vlog for yourself and something to show friends and family. The purpose is to have fun with it and get great shots of your favorite moments.

If you do happen to go viral be sure to tag us in your videos :)

Some people are great in front of the camera; others speak louder with their words on paper (or the screen). If you've been debating on the idea of starting a blog, making your first post a travel recap of your trip is the perfect way to kick it off! We'll be sure to keep you engaged for the entire trip so that you have plenty of things to write about. So much for writer's block.
